To be a witch

Feb. 12th, 2009 | 03:16 am

To be a witch is to love and be loved.
To be a witch is to know everything, and nothing at all.
To be a witch is to move amongst the stars while staying on earth.
To be a witch is to change the world around you, and yourself.
To be a witch is to share and give, while receiving all the while.
To be a witch is to dance and sing, and hold hands with the universe.
To be a witch is to honor the gods, and yourself.
To be a witch is to Be Magick, not just perform it.
To be a witch is to be honorable, or nothing at all.
To be a witch is to accept others who are not.
To be a witch is to know what you feel is right and good.
To be a witch is to harm none.
To be a witch is to know the ways of old.
To be a witch is to see beyond the barriers.
To be a witch is to follow the moon.
To be a witch is to be one with the gods.
To be a witch is to study and to learn.
To be a witch is to be the teacher and the student.
To be a witch is to acknowledge the truth.
To be a witch is to live with the earth, not just on it.
To be a witch is to be truly free!

The One Flaw In Women

The One Flaw In Women

When the Goddess made woman,

She was working overtime.

One of her devas appeared and said,

'Why are you spending so much time on this one?'

And the Goddess answered, 'Have you seen my spec sheet on her?

She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,

have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable

and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,

have a lap that can hold four children at one time,

have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart

-and she will do everything

with only two

hands.'

The deva was astounded at the requirements.

'Only two hands!? No way!

And that's just on the standard model?

That's too much work for one day.

Wait until tomorrow to finish.'

'But I won't, ' the Goddess protested.

'I am so close to finishing this creation that is of Me.

She already heals herself when she is sick

AND can work 18 hour days.'

The deva moved closer and touched the woman.

'But you have made her so soft, My Lady.'

'She is soft,' the Goddess agreed,

'but I have also made her tough.

You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.'

'Will she be able to think?', asked the deva.

The Goddess replied,

'Not only will she be able to think,

she will be able to reason and negotiate.'

The deva then noticed something,

and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.

'Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.

I told you that you were trying to put too much into

this one.'

'That's not a leak,'

the Goddess corrected, 'that's a tear!'

'What's the tear for?' the deva asked.

The Goddess said, 'The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride.'

The deva was impressed.

'You are a genius, My Lady.

You thought of everything!

Woman is truly amazing.'

And she is!

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness,

love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take 'no' for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideals.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE TINY FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH. THEY MUST REMEMBER THEY ARE OF ME - GODDESSES, TOO!

The Rose

Dec. 31st, 2008 | 08:31 am

THE ROSE

The Gardener walked the barren ground,

As was his wont these many years;;

With weary tread and saddened eyes

Surveyed the ash of long ago

The dust of many years.

His heart cried out with Pain and Sorrow;

His head bowed deep, and low

In silent rage he Raved and Cried -

The barren ground

Bore fruit no more.

The raging floods had touched it not -

The rains had never washed it

The sun poured down and baked it hard;

The cracks were wide and deep,

The winds had scoured it clean.

His gaunt, lean head he lowered in Sadness -

His Eyes were brimmed with tears;

Impotent fury filled his soul,

Anger, Frustration ruled his heart,

He stomped his foot - his heel sank down !

Amazed the softness underfoot

He knelt as if to pray

With work-worn hands he dug and scraped

The crusted soil and ash -

And bared a tender shoot

Day by day he came again

And cared and nourished the bud

A fence he built; he knew not why,

But Only that he cared !

His tender tears of Joy o'erflowed.

Praise God! A Rose! A Rose! he cried,

His fourth day to the plot

And as he watched the bud did bloom,

A Joyous hue, one never seen

A mix of Red and Gold !

"My Joy's complete - The ash denied!

The dust as never were !"

The raging floods have never touched;

The gentle rains have come,

And nourished life from nakedness !

The Roses grew and flourished,

The bush bore full and bright,

The Sun shone gentle once again,

The moon smiled soft and light.

The gardener walked, so gay and sprite.

His grizzled head, once bowed and sad

Was now a joyous sight;

The eyes once filled with bitter tears,

Now shown tears of Delight !

And he whispered low, "Praise God ! A Rose !"

A WOMAN’S CREEED

I believe that within me lies an extraordinary radiance,

and I commit to letting my light loose in the world.

I believe that the source of my power and wisdom is in the center of my

being, and I commit to acting from this place of strength.

I believe that I possess an abundance of passion and creative potential

and I commit to the expression of these gifts.

I believe that the time has come to let go of old notions and unhealthy

attitudes, and I commit to re-examine what I have been told about beauty

and dismiss what insults my soul.

I believe that negative thoughts and words compromise my well-being,

and I commit to thinking and speaking positively about myself and others.

I believe that young women are in need of positive role models,

and I commit to being an example of authencity and self love.

I believe in the relationship between my well-being and the well-being of

the planet, and I commit to a life of mindfulness that regards all living things

as holy and worthy of my love.

I believe it is my spiritual responsibility to care for my body with respect,

kindness, and compassion.

I commit to balancing my life in such a way that my physical being

is fully expressed and nurtured.

I believe that joy is an essential part of wellness,

and I commit to removing obstacles to joy

and creating a life that is full of exuberance.

I belive that a woman who loves herself is a powerful, passionate,

attractive force, and I commit, from this day forward, to loving myself deeply and

extravagantly.
